ABOUT JASMIN
Hi, I’m Jasmin!
Licenses and Certifications:
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Sex therapist (CST), and Level Two Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist with Level One training in IFS (Individuals) and Level Two training in Intimacy From Inside Out (IFIO -Couples), and Level One Gottman Method Couples therapist.

Clinical Journey:
With a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from North Carolina State University under my belt, I have spent years building a strong clinical foundation while working with individuals struggling with a variety of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. After achieving full clinical licensure, I decided to specialize in sex and relationship therapy.
To hone my expertise in this area, I completed rigorous academic training in sex therapy and sex education at the prestigious University of Michigan. I am now proud to be recognized as a nationally certified sex therapist by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
But my pursuit of knowledge doesn't stop there. I am always seeking to expand my skills and stay up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practices. I've successfully completed Level Two Internal Family Systems (IFS) training. In Level One, I focused on applying the IFS model to work with individuals, and in Level Two, I obtained specialized training in IFIO, concentrating on utilizing the Internal Family Systems approach within the context of couples and partners. I am also Level One trained in Gottman Method Couple from Gottman’s Institute. To me, being a lifelong student of my trade is not just a job requirement, it's a personal passion. And while my professional expertise is well-established, I also pride myself on being approachable, relatable, and fun. I strive to make clients feel comfortable and understood, so we can work together toward achieving their goals. So, whether you're struggling with mental health challenges, looking to enhance your sex life or relationship, or simply want to live a happier and more fulfilling life, I'm here to help you get there.

BACKGROUND
Raised in a culture where sex was a taboo subject and seldom discussed, my understanding of human sexuality was largely shaped by the media. However, my undergraduate studies in Human Sexuality opened my eyes to the vastness and complexity of this topic. I discovered that there is no "normal" when it comes to sex, and that pleasure is a deeply personal experience that varies from person to person.

In a world that is fraught with challenges and adversity, I aim to empower my clients to cultivate a sex and love life that is both pleasurable and satisfying. I believe this is my calling and true passion: working with individuals and partners to help them explore their innermost selves, gain deeper insights, and uncover what love and pleasure mean to them. By providing a non-judgmental and supportive space for exploration, I assist clients in finding their unique path to sexual, relational, and emotional fulfillment.
OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE
When I'm not honing my skills in the therapy room or attending workshops and training, you'll often find me curled up with a good book or spending quality time with my loved ones and my furry companions – my dogs who are never far from my side. Self-care is an important part of my life as well as my therapeutic work and I encourage my clients to do the same. I'm a North Carolina native and love nothing more than exploring the hidden gems of my home state, from quaint towns to undiscovered eateries. I'm also an enthusiastic traveler, eager to discover new cultures and experiences. And let's not forget my love of tattoos – my collection is always growing! Overall, I strive to balance my professional pursuits with a fulfilling personal life, full of love, joy, and plenty of adventures.
